A little less than two years after her self-titled debut (2024, Four Flies Records), Chiaré returns with SEI, a collection of six brand new tracks. The Italian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist blends the technical mastery from her jazz singing diploma and ongoing classical double bass studies with the raw talent recognized by the 2023 Bianca D’Aponte Award for emerging Italian singer-songwriters.
For this record, Chiaré has teamed up with forward-thinking producer Pasquale Strizzi to further refine her sound, whose folk and jazz influences are now intertwined with electronic elements.
Delivered in her uniquely warm and delicate voice, the songs (performed in both Italian and Neapolitan) paint a journey through love and frailty, resilience and rebirth, moving between her native Salerno and adopted Rome while exploring themes of belonging and the contemporary female condition.
SEI also includes an intimate, stripped-down version of legendary Neapolitan artist Pino Daniele’s “Core Fujente” that enhances the sweet, luminous melancholy of the original.
