Side A: Carlo Rustichelli – BLUES PER BRIGITTE
from the original soundtrack of the movie Libido (1964)

Side B: Aldo Piga – TITOLI (TWIST POLIZIESCO)
from the original soundtrack of the movie Le notti della violenza (1965)

The previously unreleased Blues per Brigitte is a cheeky Yé-Yé blues arranged for vibraphone, piano and electric guitar, with rhythmic vocals from an unknown female singer. The character of Brigitte in Libido, a 1964 giallo written and directed by Ernesto Gastaldi, keeps playing it obsessively on her turntable as a sort of background lounge-like music.

Also previously unreleased is the infectious, uptempo crime twist tune on side B, which was used in the opening credits of Roberto Mauri’s pulp noir movie Le notti della violenza (1966). Super jazzy and energetic, the track has a John Barry-esque, spy-movie feel to it due to its blending of a big brass section with a driving rhythm section (especially surf drums and baritone guitar).
